Architecture: For “Reinventing Paris”, a Korean firm imagines what could push Porte Maillot
ARCHITECTURE – The mayor of Paris announced earlier this week that she received 815 applications in response to her call for urban projects “Reinventing Paris”, launched in November to draw innovatively the future of 23 sites in the capital.
Among these projects, that of Planning Korea’s office on the so-called “Pershing” ground above the ring road between Porte Maillot and Porte des Ternes next to the Palais des Congrès drew the eye of the ArchDaily site.
The architects imagined a project as suspended in the void by proposing to fill the spaces left empty in this urban landscape with a floating complex inspired by the plant world.
